Kebun Teh Jamus

Di Jamus ada tempat yang dinamakan ”Grojokan Songo Tuk Pakel” tempat ini menyajikan pemandangan air yang mengalir sepanjang hampir 25 meter dengan lebar 3 meter lewat bebatuan yang tertata alami bentuk seperti tangga tidak beraturan dan berlekuk sangat bagus dan indah. ”Ada pula makam tua pendiri Kebun Teh Jamus Van Der Rappart (1826-1910) asal Belanda. Beliaulah yang membuka kawasan ini sehingga menjadi perkebunan teh.

Yang membedakan, kawasan ini dengan tempat wisaa lain adalah, soal penerangan tempat ini tidak mengandalkan penerangan dari perusahaan listrik milik PLN, melainkan memanfaatkan volume air yang melimpah dengan membangun Kincir Air Pembangkit Tenaga Listrik yang bisa menghasilkan energi listrik hingga 90 ribu watt. Hingga saat ini kincir air ini masih berfungsi menghasilkan energi listrik untuk penerangan jalan dan perumahan kapasitas terpasang 50 KVA, dengan diameter 150 cm berat ± 2 ton yang beroperasi tahun 1930 didatangkan dari negeri Belanda.

Daya tarik lain adalah Jamus Borobudur’s Hill (bukit Borobudur). Bukit setinggi 35,4 meter ini terlihat seperti lahan teh biasa, namun jika dipandang dari kejauhan, nampak sebuah bukit mirip berbentuk candi borobudur. ”Tanaman teh ini berumur hampir 100 tahun, sedangkan jumlah tanaman teh sekitar 35.400 pohon. Jika lelah berjalan di kebun teh bisa beristirahat sekaligus melihat-lihat Goa Jepang. Goa ini cukup unik, peninggalan tentara Jepang tahun 1942 dengan panjang + 14 meter membelah dua lorong. Konon digunakan untuk menyimpan bahan makanan, persenjataan dan harta karun.

Selain itu ada grojokan dari Sumber Mata Air Sawahan dengan suara gemuruh air dan pesona air yang sangat bagus. Para wisatawan bila ingin menginap akan diarahkan di Desa Girikerto, Ngrendeng atau Sambirejo. Hotel Penduduk disekitar wisata kebun teh Jamus tetap menjunjung nilai religi. Mereka tetap membiarkan wilayahnya tetap hijau dan asri, seperti ratusan tahun lalu. Tempat hiburan seperti karaoke keluarga, sebagai sarana pelengkap di penginapan atau hotel tidak terlihat. ”Kawasan wisata di sini sengaja tidak membangun hotel karena warga dan pengelola mempunyai konsep wisata alam yang asri. Itulah keunggulannya dibanding tempat wisata lainnya. Ketinggian kebun teh ini sekitar 800 meter di atas permukaan laut. Dari Ngawi, kira-kira 42 kilometer di sebelah Barat Daya.

Bekunjung ke kebun teh Jamus, memang tidak begitu sulit. Lokasi ini bisa ditempuh menggunakan kendaraan roda empat maupun roda dua Setelah menempuh perjalanan sekitar 1,5 jam, pengunjung akan tiba dikawasan lereng gunung di Kecamatan Ngrambe. Ketika cuaca cerah, puncak Gunung Lawu terasa kelihatan di depan mata. Namun, pada musim penghujan, jangan berharap bisa melihat pemandangan seperti itu karena selalu diliputi kabut tebal. Setelah tiba di Ngrambe, lanjutkan perjalanan ke Desa Giri Kerto, sebuah desa wilayah Kecamatan Sine yang berbatasan dengan Kecamatan Ngrambe. Perjalanan dari kota Ngrambe ke kebun teh Jamus ditempuh kira-kira tujuh kilometer. Dari kota kecil itu, hanya sesekali ada angkutan perdesaan. Namun pengunjung bisa menggunakan ojek dengan tarif Rp10 ribu. Ketika pengunjung sampai di desa Giri Kerto perlu berhati-hati karena kondisi jalan mulai terjal dan berkelok-kelok. Namun, di balik tantangan itu, pengunjung akan mendapat pemandangan yang masih alami. Di tengah-tengah perkebunan terdapat sebuah pabrik tempat memproses daun teh yang dipetik para pekerja. Sebelum memasuki kawasan pabrik, terdapat sebuah pos penjaga. Karcis Rp1.000 per orang untuk memasuki kawasan itu.

Lawu Mountain

Lawu Mountain (3265 m) is located on the island of Java, Indonesia, exactly on the border town of Central Java and East Java. Status of this mountain is a inactive volcano"resting" and has long been inactive, visible from the dense vegetation and eroded its peak. On the slopes there is a small crater that still emit water vapor (fumaroles) and sulfur (solfatara). Lawu have Dipterokarp forest hill, forest Dipterokarp Upper Montane forest, and forest Ericaceous.

Lawu has three peaks, peak Hargo Dalem, Hargo Dumiling and Hargo Dumilah. The latter is the highest peak. Read more
